New York v. Kelson/Brown: Round I

I am happy to report that Elliott and I are no longer locked inside our apt. Our landlord and a locksmith came by around 10:30am to get us out. After fiddling with the door, they realized that simple fiddling was not going to do the job. The locksmith had to drill the door/lock for about half an hour before we could get out. I guess this also means that no one will ever be able to break in.

The landlord covered all of the costs and installed a new lock so in the first round of New York vs. Kelson/Brown, the W is awarded to Kelson/Brown.
